It was adopted as the first product of the brand's 40th anniversary model of MOONSTAR Carrot, a shoe for children developed by MOONSTAR Carrot®. The CR B40TH and CR C40TH, which are made of FOOD TEXTILE fabric for the upper, will be on sale sequentially from mid-February 2025 at shoe specialty stores and mass retailers nationwide, the children's shoe specialty store Genki Kids, the official Moonstar online store, and e-commerce malls.

"FOOD TEXTILE" is a sustainable project brand consisting of three companies: TOYOSHIMA, a food-related company that provides raw materials for colors, and a collaborative company that develops products from its fabrics. We purchase unused or out-of-spec ingredients, cut vegetable scraps, and coffee refreshers from food-related companies and farms, extract the ingredients contained in the ingredients, and use them as dyes to dye fabrics and threads to create new items.

The color of this product is derived from non-standard rooibos, unused red turnips, non-standard sakura, and drip coffee, and the color of rooibos is "carrot", the color of red turnip is "peppermint", the color of sakura is "radish", and the color of coffee after drip is "coffee".

The CR B40TH is available in three colors: carrot, peppermint, and radish in baby size (12.0cm~14.5cm), and the CR C40TH is available in three colors: carrot, peppermint, and coffee in kids' size (15.0cm~19.0cm). It uses a vulcanized manufacturing method that can only be produced by a few factories in Japan, and the sole is supple, soft, durable, and hard to break. Equipped with four functions (Note 1) that match the characteristics of children's feet, which are also a feature of Carrot, it supports the feet of children who run around energetically and supports their healthy growth. The gentle color and simple design of FOOD TEXTILE are easy to match with clothes and have a warm feeling, so it is also recommended as a gift.
