Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. (President: Hanshichi Hanshichi Toyoshima, Naka-ku, Nagoya) On Saturday, June 24, 2023, Toyota City and other parties including W TOKYO Co., Ltd. signed a partnership agreement on the promotion of a "zero-carbon city" in the "New VibeZ" promotion project to promote a decarbonized society under an industry-academia-government-private partnership launched by Toyota City. AS PART OF THIS AGREEMENT, STUDENTS WILL USE 100% ORGANIC COTTON T-SHIRTS FROM "ORGABITS" DEVELOPED BY TOYOSHIMA IN PREPARATION FOR THE FORUM EIGHT RALLY JAPAN 2023, WHICH WILL BE HELD BETWEEN NOVEMBER 16 (THURSDAY) ~ NOVEMBER 19 (MONDAY), 2023designed an original T-shirt. During the period, this T-shirt will be sold in a limited edition of 200 pieces at the East Exit Machinaka Square in front of Toyota City Station and at the Toyota Stadium "RALLY JAPAN OFFICIAL SHOP".
This year, Toyota City's "New VibeZ" program is based on the theme of "resource recycling," and in addition to implementing various initiatives focusing on clothing, which is of high interest to the younger generation, we are also disseminating practices and information to create "empathy" for the same generation with the cooperation of companies, led by university students and others. AS PART OF THIS PROJECT, Toyoshima & Co., Ltd., Toyota City, AND W TOKYO CO., LTD. HAVE SIGNED A PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT ON THE PROMOTION OF "ZERO CARBON CITY", AND TOYOSHIMA We are collaborating on demonstration projects related to resource recycling of clothing.
AS PART OF THIS AGREEMENT, TOYOSHIMA WILL PRESENT THE ORIGINAL DESIGNS DESIGNED BY THE STUDENTS FOR THE FORUM EIGHT RALLY JAPAN 2023. We have created a limited edition T-shirt applied to the 100% organic cotton T-shirt of "ORGABITS", one of the largest organic cotton promotion projects in Japan. The design was selected from 4~5 proposals from the students, and the initial "S" for "Sustainable" resembles a "road" leading to Mirai. This T-shirt will be sold in a limited edition of 200 pieces from November 16 (Thursday) ~ November 19 (Monday), 2023 at Toyota City Station East Exit Machinaka Square and Toyota Stadium "RALLY JAPAN OFFICIAL SHOP".
TOYOSHIMA WILL CONTINUE TO COLLABORATE WITH TOYOTA CITY TO IMPLEMENT VARIOUS PROJECTS RELATED TO DECARBONIZATION AND CARBON NEUTRALITY, AIMING TO REALIZE A SUSTAINABLE "ZERO-CARBON CITY" WHERE EVERYONE CAN LIVE IN THEIR OWN WAY WITH PEACE OF MIND.

■What is ORGABITS?
"ORGABITS" is an organic cotton promotion project that started in 2005 with the idea of contributing to the global environment and producers by "bits" together. In order to make it easier for organic cotton to be used and disseminated, more than 150 fashion brands have participated to date, producing a total of more than 11 million items (as of the end of June 2023) with the "reversal idea" of delivering products made from 10% organic cotton to 100 times more people, rather than sticking to the 100% amount of organic cotton used in a single piece of clothing.
