Marketing & Sales Planning Dept.4 SDGs Promotion Support Yotaro Nakamura will introduce you, and actor Taro Suruga will also be a guest on "how to connect fashion and the environment in the future" We had a talk session.

Mr. Suruga places importance on “wearing good things for a long time” and is particular about “domestic production” even in his own apparel brand. Through his hobby of surfing, he thought, "There are many people around me who want to protect the ocean, but I don't know what to do specifically." I revealed the episode that I met Nakamura Nakamura.

Interested in UpDRIFT™, a fiber made from recycled PET bottles washed ashore, he thought, “It would be interesting if we could create highly fashionable design items that incorporate recycled products into fashion.” Items using will be announced in March.

Mr. Suruga said, "I usually pick up plastic bottle waste at the beach, but if it becomes easier to understand what is going on, such as making it into fibers, I think it will make more sense to pick it up and change the way we think about it. If the frontage spreads more, it will make sense to do it, and it will change naturally."
Everyone who participated in the talk show deeply agreed with that.

Mr. Okano of the Ministry of the Environment said, "Throwing it away makes it garbage, but handing it over makes it a resource.
