Press ReleaseProducts
From the brand "rienda" developed by Baroque Japan Limited, we will release the brand's first product using the pattern from the collection of the "Mulhouse Museum of Dyeing and Weaving" from Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. of a trading company specializing in textiles (President & CEO: Hanshichi Toyoshima, Nagoya City Naka-ku Nishiki 2-15-15) has signed a sublicense agreement with Nishikawa Sangyo Co., Ltd., a major bedding company that is the master licensee of the Mulhouse Museum of Dyeing and Textile in France, and is the only Japan company to produce and develop apparel, stoles, umbrellas, handkerchiefs, bags, and bags on an OEM basis that utilizes the archives.
Baroque Japan Limited (President & CEO: Hiroyuki Murai, 4-7-7 Aobadai, Meguro-ku, Tokyo) will release the brand's first product from the brand "Rienda" (hereinafter referred to as "Rienda") using the brand's collection of the Mulhouse Museum of Dyeing and Textile from Thursday, March 1, 2018.

The product to be released this time is a soft A-line dress that is particular about a beautiful silhouette by using a blouse with voluminous peplum sleeves and a feminine silhouette and a printed base fabric with a sense of surface to give the pattern depth. We chose a floral pattern that can make the most of the atmosphere and color of the vintage pattern as it is, and incorporated it into a simple design.

The Mulhouse Museum of Dyeing and Weaving houses about 6 million dyed materials from Europe and around the world, centering on interior decoration and clothing design drawings and dyeing samples. The richness and quality of its collection has earned it a high reputation as a print art museum unlike any other in the world.

Even now, it still attracts designers and artists, and creators from all over the world, including famous haute couture maisons in Europe, visit this museum to get inspiration for new designs.

Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. has had a sublicensing agreement since 2013 and has launched products from more than 20 brands to date.

AbouttheMulhouseMuseum of Dyeing and Textiles
Mulhouse, a city near the Swiss border, is the center of French print culture. The Mulhouse Museum of Dyeing and Textile has a collection of about 6 million archives of printed fabrics from France and abroad, and is known as a museum that European luxury brands also use as design sources.
One of the biggest features of the archives of the Mulhouse Museum of Dyeing and Textile is that the patterns can be freely arranged. What's also great is that the arranged prints are re-acquired in the museum and later become part of the new archives. Historically valuable designs are revived in the present day and returned to the museum. This is the identity of the museum.
Since 2013, Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. has signed a sublicense agreement with Nishikawa Sangyo Co., Ltd., a major bedding company that is the master licensee of the Mulhouse Museum of Dyeing and Textile in France. It is the only company in the Japan that utilizes the archives to develop and start OEM production of apparel, stoles, umbrellas, handkerchiefs, bags, and bags.
