In this joint project, we are looking for apparel brands that support "Project Zero" (*1) or "Project Red" (*2) promoted by the Foundation, and each brand will create and sell original products for the project. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the product will be donated to the Christel Vy Ensemble.

【What is the "Orgavitz Project" developed by Toyoshima & Co., Ltd.】
The organic cotton promotion project in which the largest number of apparel brands in the Japan participate. With the idea of "reversal" of delivering 100% products to 100 times more people without sticking to 100% organic cotton, about 70 brands are currently participating and producing about 1 million items a year. The activities have expanded to support farmers and NPOs in the country of origin, and the circle is expanding as a social contribution activity that allows people to participate in fashionable clothes through a single piece of clothing.
Cotton produced by conventional cultivation methods contains about 15% of the insecticides and 7% of pesticides used around the world (*Source: Textile Exchange), and contains various problems such as soil contamination and environmental problems. Organic cotton, on the other hand, refers to organically grown cotton on farmland that has not used any pesticides or chemical fertilizers for more than three years. The growing demand for organic cotton is expected to reduce the use of conventional cotton cultivation methods and to correct the above problems.

Details of the new project will be announced at the joint fashion and design exhibition "rooms29" to be held on September 9 (Tue.) ~ 11 (Thu.), 2014 (organized by Ash Pae France, Yoyogi National Stadium 1st Gymnasium).

*1 Project Zero
It is said to be a developed Japan country, and many dogs and cats are slaughtered every day. In this project, we aim to achieve zero killing of dogs and cats, zero abandonment, and zero abuse by 2020.

*2 Project Red
The list of endangered wildlife in the world is called the Red List. Today, ecosystems are out of balance and wildlife extinction is accelerating faster than ever. The mission of this project is to save endangered wildlife at the top of the ecosystem and protect the ecosystem.

Christel Vi Ensemble
【Representative Christel Takigawa's message】
When I was a child, I came across a book called "The Little Prince." There are words that changed my life. "What really matters is invisible." In this world full of "invisible things," I became interested in the relationship between humans and animals about 10 years ago. Our ignorance or indifference to them. I began to question the reality that this had become the norm for many people.
Whether the other person is a human being or an animal, there is no worse way to deal with living things than "ignoring" them. Wild animals are increasingly deprived of their homes and have nowhere to live. Pets are mass-produced and consumed like things for our convenience. Animals, unlike us, are not able to express their thoughts aloud. It is up to us to make our responsible choice whether we can listen to their "voiceless voices" and face them properly, or whether we "ignore" them.
It Japan that the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games have been decided. It means that it has been recognized around the world as a wonderful country with charm. On the other hand, however, it must be said that Japan lags far behind other developed countries in terms of animal protection and welfare.
What does it mean to "coexist" and "live life together"? In 2020, we will be welcoming people from all over the world to our Japan. I established this foundation to take this unique opportunity as an opportunity to review coexistence with living things. I believe that by being close to them and restoring healthy mutual support, a lot of compassion and wisdom that Japan originally had will be revived.

【About the Foundation】
CHRISTEL VIE ENSEMBLE OF CHRISTEL VIE ENSEMBLE MEANS "LIFE TOGETHER" OR "LIFE TOGETHER" IN FRENCH. It expresses our hope for the realization of a society in which lives of the same value support each other, and a society in which people coexist and coexist.

【Philosophy of the Foundation】
Living in the wild are friends who make up the natural environment in a delicate balance and support human life. Pets that live with humans, such as dogs and cats, are family members that always support us, not only in times of joy, but also in times of hardship and sadness. We aim to realize a society in which human beings and other lives coexist and coexist in harmony. While listening to the voiceless voices and looking at the possibilities of all kinds of life, we will pursue the realization of a society where we can support each other more deeply.
