By reducing the amount of plastic materials used, we use waste materials generated in various regions of Japan, such as apple tree scraps from Aomori Prefecture, Yoshino cedar sawdust from Nara Prefecture, and oyster shells from Mie Prefecture, as part of the raw materials, and to create biomass plastic items with a low environmental impact. It is an eco-friendly BE@RBRICK that combines ABS resin with pruned apple trees from Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, which have been scheduled to be discarded, to reduce the amount of plastic used overall.
The belly is boldly designed with the artwork "International Love Heart" by Mr./Ms. Girard, an American designer who represents the mid-century. He is also known for creating the "Girard Bird," an abstract sculpture hand-carved from an apple tree, in which the heart is shaped by the word "love" in all languages, and the importance of mutual recognition and the message of world peace.
