Femtech brand "Hogara" launches PoC with "MEDITA" for a new health management platform concept for women

Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Hanshichi Toyoshima, Nagoya City) Naka-ku) is a femtech brand for women's comfortable everyday life "Hogara (Hogara)" and MEDITA Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Ayari Tanaka, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), which promotes research and analysis on the development of wearable devices and fluctuations in body temperature data centered on "body temperature", aim to solve health management issues caused by poor physical condition peculiar to women, and based on the analysis and research technology of vital data acquired using the wearable device developed in-house by MEDITA, In June 2022, we will launch PoC*, a new comprehensive lifestyle service to realize a comfortable working environment for women.


*PoC... Proof of concept. To verify the feasibility of new ideas and concepts and the effects that can be obtained. It is common to determine the feasibility and proceed to the actual project if it is judged that the expected effect can be obtained.






"Hogara (Hogara)" is a femtech brand launched by volunteer female employees who gathered across departments to make products that more reflect the voices of women in the field amid the increase in the number of female sales employees. Based on the concept of "what we want now", we develop and sell items that can be provided only because we are a trading company that handles textiles. In addition to being close to women through product development, we would like to aim to solve women's health issues while utilizing the power of technology, and this Hogara will implement a PoC for MEDITA and a new health management platform concept for women. In the future, we aim to apply the results of this PoC and develop services that can contribute to consumers.


■Health and Productivity Management Platform Concept for Women

As the introduction of health and productivity management has taken hold, surveys have reported that while about 50% of female employees have experienced problems in the workplace due to health issues specific to women, about 40% of workplace managers have had trouble dealing with them*. Currently, it is difficult for female employees to consult with their superiors or the company about their own women's unique health conditions. Therefore, female employees of Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. worked together to protect the confidentiality of the health issues of the subjects, and based on complex information including vital data that can be acquired by MEDITA is developing in-house, We will provide feedback on lifestyle habits, etc.
In the future, we aim to create a platform that deepens mutual understanding between organizations and individuals, such as advice on work styles, so that each female employee can maximize their work performance amid changes in their physical and mental conditions.

However, on the other hand, I feel that there is still a lack of physical condition accompanied by physiological phenomena as a woman, methods for managing my own health, and management mechanisms based on real vital data.
