Press ReleaseReleaseCollaborativeSustainability
Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Hanshichi Toyoshima, Nagoya City Naka-ku A project brand that reuses food to be discarded as dyes "FOOD TEXTILE (Food Textile)" has been adopted by Blue Bottele Coffee Japan G.K. (Representative employee: Nestlé S.A., Hirano, Koto-ku, hereinafter referred to as Blue Bottle Coffee). With this adoption, we have produced an original bag in which the dough is dyed with coffee extraction shells from Blue Bottle Coffee's café. It will be on sale on the official website from Friday, April 22, Earth Day.

■Collaboration is realized by sympathizing with the issue of waste ingredients and environmentally friendly efforts!
This collaboration was made possible by the sympathy of the FOOD TEXTILE project with Blue Bottle Coffee, which holds “sustainability” as one of its beliefs.
By using coffee husks, which are usually discarded, in the product manufacturing process, it was attractive to realize a new use of waste ingredients, and the production of original tote bags started.
With the desire to provide an opportunity to think about sustainability from familiar items such as coffee, we selected a tote bag that can be used on a daily basis as an item, and at the Blue Bottle Coffee Kiyosumi Shirakawa flagship cafe, the coffee that comes out when espresso is extracted. Using extracted husks, dyed in a latte-inspired color. It can hold A4 size documents and laptops, so you can use it in any situation.

"FOOD TEXTILE" is Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. It is a sustainable project brand consisting of three companies: a food company that provides raw materials for color, and a collaborative company that develops products with its dough. We purchase non-standard ingredients, cut vegetable scraps, coffee dumplings, etc. that have been discarded in the past from food-related companies and farms, extract the ingredients contained in the ingredients, dye them into dough and thread, and transform them into new items.
"FOOD TEXTILE" will continue to propose the value of reinventing things that are simply thrown away and enjoying the lifestyle scenes of clothing, food, and housing in a fashionable way.
