(President & CEO: Hanshichi Toyoshima, Nagoya City Naka-ku By acquiring vital data of children with epilepsy and analyzing it together with the data in the app, we will start a joint project to develop devices for children with epilepsy, which aims to reduce the psychological and physical burden on children and their families. In addition, the PoC of this project will start in January 2022.





■Joint Device Development Project for Children with Pediatric Epilepsy

Families of children with epilepsy are concerned about many factors related to seizures on a daily basis, such as the external environment and the health status of the affected child. In this project, we aim to acquire vital data of patients using "hamon", a solution using smart clothing provided by Mitsufuji Co., Ltd., and to more easily and correctly record and share the health status of patients through the app "nanacara" provided by Knock-on the Door Co., Ltd. By analyzing and analyzing the data, we aim to detect seizures that even family members could not notice. The aim is to reduce the psychological and physical burden on patients and their families, and to use the data collected through this project for the development of epilepsy medicine. In addition, the general incorporated association mina family recruits project participants through a network of families of affected children, provides feedback on services and devices, and Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. Mizuho will utilize its upstream, midstream, and downstream fiber networks to support the development and manufacture of "clothing".
With the cooperation of children with epilepsy and their families, the PoC of this project will start in January 2022.


■What is nanacara?


This is an app that allows people with epilepsy and their families to share and manage daily records such as medication usage and seizure frequency. Recording can be started immediately with one tap, and detailed seizure recording such as videos, timers, and memos is also possible.
The recorded contents can be smoothly shared with doctors at medical institutions that support nanacara.



What is hamon



It is a service that includes everything such as "wearable terminal", "transmitter", "smartphone application (receiving information)", "analysis of biological information (algorithm)", "remote monitoring (management screen)". Wearer's heart rate data is acquired with sensors that use silver-plated conductive fibers researched and developed using proprietary technology, and the data is analyzed using a proprietary algorithm to visualize the state of the wearer's body.
