MAISON KITSUNÉ endorses the charity project "Save nature and the animals" of "TRUECOTTON". Eco-bags and T-shirts launched

Press ReleaseProductCollaboration

This time, Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Hanshichi Toyoshima, Nagoya City Naka-ku "Save nature and the animals" environmental conservation charity project started from traceable organic cotton yarn "TRUECOTTON / true cotton" that can be traced back to the production farm and the spinning factory, MARISON KITSUNÉ, A LIFESTYLE BRAND BASED IN PARIS AND TOKYO, HAS ENDORSED THE LAUNCH OF A LIMITED EDITION ECO-BAGS AND T-SHIRTS MADE OF TRUECOTTON THREAD.

TRUECOTTON yarn is made from organic cotton carefully grown by people who work in a healthy and safe working environment on the rich farms of the Turkish spinning group "UCAK TEKSTIL". Turkey, a TRUECOTTON-producing country, has one of the strictest regulations on the cultivation of genetically modified crops among countries that comply with EU laws and regulations. Under these regulations, TRUECOTTON is grown in a way that has a low risk of contamination with genetically modified seeds, and is also characterized by overwhelmingly low garbage contamination due to machine-picked harvesting. * According to the standards of organic farming methods in each country, the use of genetically modified seeds is basically not permitted.

Designed by the design team of MAISON KITSUNÉ, this eco-bag and T-shirt features an adorable motif design of a fox wearing a cap with WWF written on it. The eco-bag can be stored small and easy to carry. The attached button that is compact is equipped with a recycling button for environmentally friendly waste fish nets. The T-shirt is woven with thin TRUECOTTON yarn in pursuit of a comfortable touch, and is finished in the mold of MAISON KITSUNÉ's standard T-shirt.

"In the rapidly changing social situation, we hope that this project will inspire many people to think about environmental issues," commented Riya Kuroki, founder of MAISON KITSUNÉ.

Both eco-bags and T-shirts have a fox motif wearing WWF caps, and MAISON KITSUNÉ hopes that this initiative will help raise awareness of sustainable life among as many people as possible. A portion of the proceeds will be used to support WWF JAPAN's efforts to protect rare wildlife, forests and oceans, and to use natural resources sustainably and prevent global warming.

The eco-bags will be on sale at MAISON KITSUNÉ Aoyama, Daikanyama, Osaka, Shinpukan, and Café KITSUNÉ Aoyama from December 24 (Thursday), as well as at WWF's mail-order site PANDA SHOP. T-shirts will be released around January next year.

In these days, when we have to seriously rethink our lifestyles on a global scale for the sake of people living in the future, we hope that the efforts of MAISON KITSUNÉ and TRUECOTTON will be an opportunity to choose new values.

Organic cotton yarn that can identify "farms and spinning mills".
Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. was born by signing an exclusive sales agreement with UCAK TEKSTIL, a Turkish organic spinning groove that is a representative of traceable cotton, to Japanese companies.
Since integrated management from farm to spinning can be performed, it is possible to provide organic cotton yarn that can identify "farm and spinning factory". Cotton is grown from seeds that have not been genetically modified, and is harvested by machine picking, so it is organic cotton that is less contaminated with foreign substances.
Choosing organic cotton actually protects producers from health hazards such as pesticides. It is an organic cotton yarn made in an environment where even people who work in spinning cotton factories who make yarn can feel that they will work energetically tomorrow.
