■ “Small” good things to work on with “ORGABITS” and six teams in the Pacific League
"ORGABITS" is Japan's largest organic cotton promotion project that started with the idea that everyone should contribute to the global environment and producers little by little. This time, in collaboration with 6 Pacific League teams, we will sell original goods based on the concept of "a little good thing for children who love the global environment and baseball".

For goods, T-shirts (4 colors) and tote bags will be prepared, and 22 types of designs will be developed, including versions for each team and versions for 6 teams. All of these goods use 100% eco-friendly organic cotton, and are made to order to avoid overproduction. In addition, part of the sales will be donated to the All Japan Baseball Association to help create an environment where children can enjoy and safely play baseball.

■ Comments from Pacific League Marketing Planning Officer

I like baseball, I like sports, I like fashion. We wanted to deliver such gentle goods to everyone, where enjoying things and things you like leads to a little contribution to the environment and society. Together with the six teams of the Pacific League and everyone, we hope that by accumulating little by little, we will be able to help develop a heart, opportunity and environment to become familiar with baseball as an activity to pass on a sustainable baseball culture to the next generation.

What is the Orgabits Project?

"ORGABITS" is an organic cotton spread project that started in 2005 with the idea that everyone should contribute "bits" to the global environment and producers.
In order to facilitate the use and popularization of organic cotton, we have adopted the "reversal idea" of delivering 10% organic cotton products to 100 times more people, regardless of the amount of 100% organic cotton used in a single piece of clothing. More than 130 fashion brands participate in the event, producing more than 8 million items in total. Activities have expanded to include support for farmers in the country of origin of organic cotton and NPO corporations.
2020 marks the 15th anniversary. (*Source: Textile Exchange)
