We purchase non-standard ingredients, cut vegetable scraps, and coffee dumplings that have been discarded in the past from food-related companies and farms, extract the ingredients contained in the food, and dye them into dyes. This time FOOD TEXTILE we will make aprons and cut and sew using dyed fabric by reusing discarded tea leaves from Taiwanese tea store "THE ALLEY", which serves tapioca milk tea and other products, and will open in WITH HARAJUKU on Tuesday, June 23 It has been decided that it will be adopted as the uniform of the ALLEY store staff.

This time, the FOOD TEXTILE project helped THE ALLEY's eco-friendly efforts from the perspective of "TEA x fashion". THE ALLEY's exclusive apron and cut-and-sew have been completed using the popular tea leaves "Royal No. 9" specially blended by THE ALLEY's tea master and dyed in a gentle brown earth color.

The apron is made of 100% cotton Katsuragi fabric dyed with a gentle caramel-colored dye extracted from tea leaves. This is an apron with original specifications only for THE ALLEY, such as the workability of the staff, the number and dimensions of the pockets, etc.

Knit fabric dyed with extracted natural color dye is used for the cut and sew. Although it is simple, it is a cut and sew that can be used for everyday wear, with attention to details such as the henley neck, stitching, and the slit at the hem.
