"ORGABITS" is an organic cotton spread project that started in 2005 with the idea that everyone should contribute "bits" to the global environment and producers. Our goal is to reduce the percentage of organic cotton farmland to 10%, which is only 1% of the world's cotton. In 2020, we will celebrate our 15th anniversary. Sogo & Seibu Co., Ltd., which will be collaborating on this project, is promoting sustainable throughout the year from 4/7 (Tuesday), as the words "sustainable" and "ethical" are attracting attention throughout society and awareness of social and environmentally friendly lifestyles is increasing. "My choice to change the world" will be developed at each store. To commemorate this promotion, ORGABITS organic cotton T-shirts and 10 brands connected by Sogo and Seibu Co., Ltd. will collaborate for a limited time “Organic cotton T-shirt project to do something good for the earth”.
■What is the “Organic Cotton T-shirt Project”?
ORGABITS' organic cotton T-shirts, which are working on a project to spread organic cotton, and the original designs of 10 brands connected by Sogo and Seibu Co., Ltd. are collaborating to sell T-shirts with donations. From 3/31 (Tue.) to 4/17 (Fri.), pre-orders are available at the support purchase service "Makuake", and from 4/20 (Mon.) to 5/20 (Wed.), some stores and online stores. We will sell to order. We aim for zero waste due to unsold products by being completely made-to-order production. In addition, part of the sales proceeds will be donated to the "Blue Ocean Project" of the NPO Japan Sea Turtle Association, which protects marine animals and the beach environment, including the protection of sea turtles. ORGABITS and Sogo & Seibu Co., Ltd. will work on social activities that you can participate in on a daily basis through one piece of clothing.

What is the Orgabits Project?
"Orgabits" is an organic cotton spread project that started in 2005 with the idea that everyone should contribute "bits" to the global environment and producers.
In order to facilitate the use and popularization of organic cotton, we have adopted a "reversal idea" to deliver 10% organic cotton products to 100 times more people, regardless of the amount of organic cotton used in one piece of clothing. More than 100 fashion brands have participated in the event, producing more than 7.2 million items in total. Activities have expanded to include support for farmers in the country of origin of organic cotton and NPO corporations. 2020 marks the 15th anniversary.
