"Ogavitzrun" is the Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. of a trading company specializing in textiles (President & CEO: Hanshichi Toyoshima, Nagoya City Naka-ku Nishiki 2-15-15, hereinafter referred to as "TOYOSHIMA") is a running competition held with special sponsorship. Orgabits, which is used in the name of the tournament, is an organic cotton brand that has been developed since 2005 by TOYOSHIMA, a textile trading company that boasts the largest cotton trading volume in the Japan. Currently, TOYOSHIMA is engaged in activities to cultivate Japanese cotton organically with the cooperation of Watarase Ecovillage*1, and this Watarase We hold a running competition every year in the land.
Every year, we receive sponsorship from many fashion brands, and it is also attracting attention as a tournament with a high sense of fashion, such as the Best Dresser Award. As a participation prize, all runners will receive an Ogavitz special Imabari towel this year as well.

*1 Watarase Ecovillage is a specified non-profit organization located in Fujioka-cho, Tochigi City, and aims to live a recycling-oriented life in Japan and grows pesticide-free and chemical-free crops, as well as Japanese cotton, a native species of Japan.
■What is the "Orgavitz Project" developed by TOYOSHIMA?
The organic cotton promotion project in which the largest number of apparel brands in the Japan participate. With the "reverse idea" of delivering 10% products to 100 times more people without sticking to 100% organic cotton, about 90 brands are currently participating and producing about 630,000 items a year. These activities have expanded to support farmers and NPOs in the country of origin, and the circle is expanding as a social contribution activity where people can participate in fashionable clothes through a single piece of clothing.
Cotton produced by conventional cultivation methods contains about 15% of the insecticides and 7% of pesticides used around the world (*Source: Textile Exchange), and contains various problems such as soil contamination and environmental problems.
Organic cotton, on the other hand, refers to organically grown cotton on farmland that has not used any pesticides or chemical fertilizers for more than three years. The growing demand for organic cotton is expected to reduce the use of conventional cotton cultivation methods and improve the above problems.

※Saito Taro
Born in 1974. Kokugakuin Kugayama High - Waseda University. During his time as a recruit RC coach, he coached the Sydney Olympics national team players. Since 2002, he has been the head coach of the NPO Nippon Runners (Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture). He has a reputation for teaching how to run, walk, stretch, and other body movement points. In addition to teaching more than 300 members, he also teaches running lessons to referees in various countries as a running instructor for the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). It emphasizes the three elements of "pelvis, shoulder blades, and posture," and advocates "kokeshi running" that takes the letters of its head. His books include "Kokeshi Run" (Ikeda Shoten) and "42.195 km Training Edition" (Free Space).
