Japan Japan's first TOYOSHIMA to be certified as Avient's Dyneema® Premium Manufacturing Partner.

Toyoshima & Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Hanshichi Toyoshima, Nagoya City Naka-ku Vice President: Jan-Lodewijk Lindmulder, The Netherlands (hereinafter referred to as "Avient"), which develops Dyneema®, a high-strength, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber, announced that Dyneema® As a company that meets specific standards for the quality and processing know-how of textiles and fabrics, we have obtained the Dyneema® Premium Manufacturing Partner (PMP) certification for the first time in Japan Japan. Based on this certification, we will develop Dyneema® fibers and fabrics for a wide range of items such as apparel products, living materials, and industrial products.






Teshima Co., Ltd. is engaged in a series of processes from the purchase and sale of raw materials, yarns, and fabrics from all over the world, to the planning to production of final products, and is comprehensively developing business in all processes of the fashion industry.

Avient, headquartered in the United States, is a global company that handles special polymer materials, colorants, additives, etc. Dyneema® is one of the fibers handled by the company, which is 15 times stronger than iron, but is light enough to float on water, and has features such as high cut resistance, friction resistance, chemical resistance, and UV resistance. It is used in various fields where high durability and light weight are required at the same time, such as protective clothing and sportswear, ropes for ships and offshore moorings, slings for heavy construction, and nets in the fishing and air transport sectors.

The PMP certification, Teshima's first in Japan Japan, is awarded to companies that meet specific standards for quality, manufacturing, innovation and processing know-how of both Dyneema® fibers and fabrics.
In addition, the Yneema® yarns handled by Teshima are bio-based*1 made from waste from the lumber and pulp industries, and have obtained the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC)*2, a global certification granted to sustainable raw materials. It emits 90% less carbon dioxide than general HMPE fibers*3 and has exactly the same performance as conventional fibers, achieving both functionality and sustainability.

Based on this certification, Teshima will work with Avient to introduce products in a wide range of fields in Japan and overseas, including apparel products, living materials, and industrial products.
