Avient, headquartered in the United States, is a global company that handles special polymer materials, colorants, additives, etc. Dyneema® is one of the fibers handled by the company, which is 15 times stronger than iron, but is light enough to float on water, and has features such as high cut resistance, friction resistance, chemical resistance, and UV resistance. In addition, the Yneema® yarns handled by Teshima are bio-based*1 made from waste from the lumber and pulp industries, and have obtained the International Sustainability & Carbon Certification (ISCC)*2, a global certification granted to sustainable raw materials. It emits 90% less carbon dioxide than general HMPE fibers*3 and has exactly the same performance as conventional fibers, achieving both functionality and sustainability.
